Collin County Genealogy Society will meet on Wednesday, January 9, 2013, at 7:00 p.m. at the Haggard Library, 2501 Coit Road, Plano, in the first floor meeting room. A special program will be presented by Kathleen Kent, author of "The Heretic's Daughter" and "The Traitor's Wife". The "Heretic's Daughter" chronicles the life of Martha Carrier, the author's grandmother, who was hanged for being a witch during the Salem witch trials. This book was awarded the David J. Langum Sr. award in 2008 for American historical fiction. Both books were New York Times bestsellers. Ms. Kent is currently working on a third novel. This program was previously scheduled, but had to be postponed due to illness. Everyone is invited, and there is no pre registration. For questions, call 972 231 4190.
