The Dallas NEDA Walk is bringing together our community to increase eating disorder awareness and raise funds for NEDA in a fun way! Register and help NEDA support individuals and families affected by eating disorders at a safe, friendly event. The walk is a non-competitive event and registrants may participate in whatever capacity they feel is appropriate for them. 10 million women and 1 million men suffer from anorexia or bulimia. Millions more suffer from binge eating disorder. These are serious illnesses that affect people from all walks of life. Proceeds from the walk will benefit NEDA and The Elisa Project. The Elisa Project is a non-profit organization dedicated to the prevention and effective treatment of eating disorders through awareness,
education, support and advocacy. Through their school-age education and prevention programs, community and professional education programs, resource and referral services, and awareness activities, The Elisa Project touched the lives of more than 33,000 children and adults in 2011.
