Southlake Carroll finishes second in Lone Star Cup rankings

Austin - Southlake Carroll’s came with four points of winning its first Texas Dodge Dealers Lone Star Cup for the first time since 2002.
For the second time in two years, Conroe The Woodlands won the Class 5A trophy with a score 84 points. Plano West, which won the crown last year, was fourth with 68 points.
Defending 5A champion Plano West was fourth, with 68, sandwiched by Southlake Carroll won back-to-back Class 4A Cups in 2001 and 2002. Katy Cinco Ranch (70 points) finished third and Klein (65 points) was fifth.
Schools are judges by finishes in the following activities: state and area marching band, team tennis, boys and girls cross country, volleyball, football, boys and girls swimming and diving, boys and girls wrestling, boys and girls basketball, boys and girls soccer, boys and girls golf, boys and girls track and field, one-act play, academics, softball and baseball.
